We drive to the areas with the best chance of clear skies and aurora visibility, based on updated forecasts and local knowledge.

Dress in layers. The temperature in Lofoten is never extremely rigid, normally between 0 and -10 celsius in the night, however the wind may be of some bother. You may also want to take off some layers when sitting in the car. Finally, it is important to wear warm hat, gloves and socks for when we sit outside.

Your cameras or phones - please remember that you will need a statif in order to use the long exposure settings necessary to capture the lights - and your enthusiasm!

 Yes. Just let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements for comfort and safety.

Yes. Your guide will take professional photos of the experience and send them to you afterward at no extra cost.

Unfortunately, no. The aurora is a natural phenomenon with many unpredictable factors. Your guide will choose the best possible locations and conditions to maximize your chances, but sightings can’t be guaranteed.

 If weather conditions make driving unsafe, the tour will be cancelled and you’ll receive a full refund.

If conditions are unfavorable or there’s a very low chance of seeing the aurora, we’ll inform you before the tour. You can choose to cancel with a full refund, or give it a try knowing that the chances are limited.
