Booking terms & cancellation policies

Booking and Payment

  • To secure your tour, a deposit of 2,000 NOK per tour day is required at the time of booking via a link we will send you.

           The remaining balance is to be paid via a second link within 14 days before the tour date.

  • Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received.
  • We accept secure payments by card through the provided payment link, or by or bank transfer upon request.

Booking Changes

  • Any requested change of date is subject to availability.
  • When rescheduling cannot be accommodated, the tour is deemed cancelled and the Cancellation Policy applies.

Cancellation Policy

  • Up to 14 days before the tour date: full refund: the deposit will be returned to the guests.
  • Between 14 days and 48 hours before the tour date: 50% refund: half of the total price of the cancelled tour will be withheld if already paid – or claimed if not paid yet – while the other half will be returned to the guests.
  • Less than 48 hours or no-show: no refund: the whole cost of the cancelled tour will be withheld if already paid, or claimed if not paid yet.
  • N.B. If the cancellation happens less than 14 days or 48 hours and the balance amount has not been paid yet for any reason, the part of it calculated according to the above cancellation policy is anyway considered due, therefore Heart of Lofoten has the right to claim it even after the tour date.

Late cancellation by guests for Force Majeure:

In case of late cancellation for proved causes of Force Majeure (sickness, cancelled flights, cruise ship not being able to dock because of rough weather, etc.) we reserve to keep the deposit as a compensation for operational costs, while the balance, whereas already paid, will be fully refunded to the guests even if the cancellation happens at last minute.

Please note that normal rain and wind that do not pose a risk for safety are a common feature in Lofoten and are not to be considered a valid reason for cancellation.

Itinerary changes and cancellation by Heart of Lofoten

  • Heart of Lofoten reserves the right to make minor adjustments to the planned itinerary due to unforseen operational, road works or weather-related reasons.
  • Heart of Lofoten reserves the right to cancel the tour for any reasons such as adverse weather conditions, guides inability, strikes, government restrictions, but not only. In that case, we will try to offer a rescheduling or a solution with a different company. Where not possible a full refund will be provided.
